Work on your Holiday Spirit

This week during the taping of the weekly WHAT''S HAPPENING, I noted that the holiday season is finally here. The weather is cooler, breezier and much more enjoyable. But the theme is shifting to the subject matters that seem to matter the most. It seems as though the Thanksgiving holiday is focused on eating lots of food and joining the shopping madness of Black Friday. That's kinda sad. I would much rather consider hanging out with family, chilling with the old folks and playing with the kids this time around.
The commercialization of the Thanksgiving week is over the top but we can find ways to enjoy the Holidays and make it memorable.

1. Don’t drink your fill
Be careful not to let one or two drinks turn to five or six like it would in college: Drinking can turn a good day into a bad one. Have control, and be responsible.
3. Get Fresh Air & Exercise
You need to spend a little time to get a little cardio each day. Take a walk, or if you can, go for a short run. Every little bit helps, especially when you are going to be knocking down plates of food day after day.
4. Be Thankful
Take the time to share thanksgiving cheers with your friends, family, clients and associates. After all, the holiday season is a great time to improve relationships.
5. Have Fun
It’s not about lists, worries, or anxieties in the end. It’s Thanksgiving. Have the extra piece of pie. Nap. Mix some whiskey with apple cider. Enjoy. It’s one of the prime joys in life to just decompress and to re-center yourself fully.
